Educating children at home is no small feat! Many parents face fears, doubts, worries, and potentially radical lifestyle adjustments to make home education doable for their families.

The Gathering believes no family should walk alone in their home education journey.

Home education's success is finding a community of like-minded families who support, encourage, and walk alongside you in face-to-face relationships. For this reason, The Gathering supports parents by:

Helping them find academic curricula for their learners.

Community Outreach

School is not always a good fit for children. Recent research shows three-quarters of learners do not learn best through the one-size-fits-all -approach to education.

Intuitively, this makes sense. After all, just as children do not learn to swim or ride their bikes at the same age, no child will learn to read, write, or compute their math facts at exactly the same age. And yet, the traditional educational system continues to operate in this one-size-fits-all approach.

A tremendous benefit to home education is the freedom to allow our children to learn at their pace, their developmental time, and in a way that best fits their needs.
